Spectator & Team Area Sidelines (Reminder)

18 Jun by Jeff Strommen

Good afternoon!

Recently, we've had questions and situations at some of our home fields regarding where Spectators watch the games and we need everyone to follow these simple guidelines:

As a reminder, spectators are only allowed on the sideline (touchline) of the field opposite the Team Area. If sideline space is an issue, spectators may watch the game from behind the Team Area, but must be set back far enough that anyone without prior knowledge can easily tell who the Coaches and Players are in the game.

Spectators must allow enough room (generally 3-4 feet) for referees and players to walk outside the sideline boundary and not interfere with play.

Spectators are not allowed to watch the game from behind the Goal Line or behind the Goal for any reason. This is for safety as well as the need to curb overzealous fans who like to coach or taunt players from behind the goals. (Yes, that happens)

If a referee or coach asks you to move, please don't complain. Simply find another area to enjoy the game from. We do love you and are glad you're there to support our players.

Thank you for helping us make soccer fun and exciting for all to enjoy. Questions? Contact gbkickerscomm@gmail.com.
